ABOUT DAVID
David Beck has worked for over fifteen years in the industry after originally training as an actor at LIPA and after performing for several years he went on to forge a career as a director.
Production credits include 'Manband', 'Foursome', 'Ed The Musical' and 'Lucky Dip' at The Edinburgh Festival, and directing the international best-selling tour of 'The Simon and Garfunkel Story'.
David's passion now lies with audio drama and it's exciting new audience through the growth of podcasting. David has worked extensively with the multi-award winning Wireless Theatre Company, directing both studio and live recordings (detailed credits here). For Audible, David has directed a wealth of long-form multi cast dramas - ranging from the epic to the romantic.
He recently was nominated for Best Audio Director for his adaptation of 'Treasure Island' at the Audies 2018. Other notable credits for Audible include 'Romeo & Jude', 'Murder on the Orient Express', 'Just One Damned Thing After Another', 'Arabian Nights Vol 1 & 2'. Full production credits can be found here.
David also lectures in voice-reel preparation for LAMDA and RADA and is known for his dynamic easy going stye in the studio and his exceptional scheduling and attention to detail. He lives in London with his wife and two sons.
